Deciding on a Career in Chiropractic

During his schooling, Dr. Guy was always fascinated by anatomy, physiology and the sciences. He often noticed that the people around him would go to the medical doctor for “healthcare” and get pills that didn’t really help them lead healthier lives.

His sister had struggled with various health issues throughout her life, and had experienced incredible results with chiropractic care. She always helped guide him in making important life decisions. With his future career, it was no different. She suggested he consider chiropractic as a career. Right away, Dr. Guy knew it was what he wanted to do.

An Education in Health and Wellness

Dr. Guy attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. There, he learned about chiropractic philosophy and how the body’s innate intelligence worked and how it could heal itself when interference to the nervous system was removed.

As a history buff, He was intrigued by the old-school approach to chiropractic care and how it was traditionally offered from the Chiropractor’s home office. However, he opened his first office in Charlotte, North Carolina, operating the typical high volume practice in a strip mall setting. As the years went by, Dr. Guy realized that he longed for a slower pace of life. He found the opportunity to buy a small farm in Idaho and he could not resist. The result is Farm & Table Chiropractic and a family-run small farm. This allowed him to get back to the roots of the previous generations of his profession and enabled him to incorporate his love for growing wholesome organically grown food.

Dr. Guy has taken additional training in Chiropractic BioPhysics®, which is focused on posture correction and rehabilitation of the spine.
